MBQ-167 is a dual Rac/Cdc42 inhibitor with potential antineoplastic activity, targeting Rac and Cdc42, which are overexpressed in various cancers. It inhibits p21-activated kinase (PAK) and STAT3 signaling, inducing cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis, and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and migration. It also reduces tumor-infiltrating macrophages and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in the tumor microenvironment, demonstrating significant reduction in tumor growth in vivo.
